Eee and Bee are our Edmonton wedding photographers! :)
Wedding photography was one of the first things we started to look at after we got engaged. Even though it is a huge business, to be honest there is not a huge variety to pick from in Edmonton, and many of them were on the pricey side. For some, we can really see why the packages are as expensive as they are, but there are other ones where we are sure we would not want to pay that much for what we get. With so many of them in the same price range, we had to decide which one had a photography style that we liked the most.
In our research, we found a lot of photographers who liked to edit their pictures in such a way that the finished product looks like something you would see in a magazine or billboard. Some of them are truly stunning images, and others who are not as good in comparison to the higher end photographers. Our take on them is that they are super cool, but it’s not us.
There are other photographers who shoot in a more natural style, with minimal editing to retain the original beauty of that special moment. We found that we liked them a lot more because of how real it looks. Talking to some of my married friends, they all said that the wedding day may feel like a long day, but at the same time it goes by so fast that you don’t remember everything. To us, wedding pictures are a way to let us relive that day.
After a ton of information requests, phone calls, e-mails, comparisons, and looking through probably a thousand pictures, a friend of mine had introduced me to a friend of hers who has a photography business. We checked out their website, met up with them, and we booked them! We just love how they can capture simple, natural, and beautiful moments, and we definitely want to treasure our memories in that way. To top it off, their wedding package is really, really affordable! They are a cute husband and wife duo, and perhaps it’s because they are young (like we are!), it was so easy to connect with them :)
